However a potential complication arose when it emerged recent;y that Paris St Germain were also willing to offer the Portuguese coach a return to management. It’s understood that development has focused minds at Manchester United on securing the services of the serial winner. The Express claim that Mourinho penned a contract at Old Trafford at the end of last week. They also claim that an announcement could be made in the next two weeks. That would mean acknowledging a change before the season finishes on 15 May. It would also mean, following Manchester United’s win over Everton, that the FA Cup final on 21 May would be Van Gaal’s final game in charge. Finally, the story that leads the back of Express newspaper claims that Mourinho will have full control over the club’s transfer policy. Top of his wish-list will be Benfica’s Renato Sanches, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and John Stones.
