Another Jungle Justice In Warri As Robbers Were Burnt To Death Before Police.

The fate of 2 robbers out of 7 were sealed today in a rather gruesome fashion as their robbery operation failed.

The 7 robbers had commenced a robbery operation around 6pm today at Okumagba Avenue, Delta state were they had snatched 5 Tricycles popularly known as “Keke napep”.

They had started making away with the tricycles before they got held up in traffic.

Other commercial tricycle riders were also in pursuit of the robbers before catching up with them in the traffic congestion.

The 7 robbers abandoned the tricycles and ran for their lives.

However, fate caught up with two of them as one was caught at Emibiren junction along Deco road, Warri while the other was caught at Estate Okumagba Avenue, Warri.

An anonymous eyewitnesses who spoke to BTPPoliticsToday confirmed that the 2 out of 7 robbers who were caught were beaten blue black by an angry mob.

In addition, the ongoing fuel crisis ravaging the country did not stop the angry mob as petrol was made available to burn the alleged robbbers who got caught.

Rumor also has it that a good number of armed robbers who get caught and arrested end up being released by the police.

North Korea Restarted Nuclear Bomb Fuel Plants

North Korea declared on Tuesday that it has revamped and restarted all its atomic bomb fuel production plants, a day after threatening rocket launches.
The back-to-back announcements, which many outside analysts consider threats designed to spur talks with the United States that could eventually provide impoverished North Korea with concessions, will push Pyongyang further toward a standoff with Washington and its allies.
The North said in its state media that its plutonium and highly enriched uranium facilities at the main Nyongbyon nuclear complex had been “rearranged, changed or readjusted and they started normal operation.”
On Monday, Pyongyang warned that it is ready to launch “satellites” aboard long-range rockets that the West considers banned long-range missiles meant to eventually threaten America's mainland with atomic bombs. The North says the launches would mark the ruling communist party's anniversary next month.
The North's National Aerospace Development Administration director said scientists were pushing forward on a final development phase for a new Earth observation satellite for weather forecasts.
“Space development for peaceful purposes is a sovereign state's legitimate right ... and the people of (North Korea) are fully determined to exercise this right no matter what others may say about it,” the director told Pyongyang's official Korean Central News Agency. The world will “clearly see a series of satellites soaring into the sky at times and locations determined” by the Workers' Party.
South Korea's Defense Ministry said Tuesday that firing a long-range missile would represent a “serious” violation of U.N. resolutions, but added it had not detected any signs indicating North Korea was preparing such a launch. North Korea regularly conducts such test firings of missiles , rockets and artillery, and they are often timed to express the country's dissatisfaction with actions by the United States and South Korea .
China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday it hoped “relevant parties” could do more to ensure peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. Ministry spokesman Hong Lei made the comments at a daily news briefing after North Korea said it was working to improve its nuclear weapons “in quality and quantity.”
North Korea has spent decades trying to perfect a multistage, long-range rocket. After several failures, it put its first satellite into space with a long-range rocket launched in late 2012. The U.N. said it was a banned test of ballistic missile technology and imposed sanctions. Experts say that ballistic missiles and rockets in satellite launches share similar bodies, engines and other technology.
An angry North Korea then conducted its third nuclear test in February 2013, inviting further international condemnation and sanctions.
Washington sees North Korea's pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles as a threat to world security and to its Asian allies, Japan and South Korea.
The North's announcement Monday also raised doubts about recent signs of easing animosities between the rival Koreas, which have agreed to hold
reunions next month of families separated by war. The two Koreas previously threatened each other with war in August in the wake of mine explosions blamed on Pyongyang that maimed two South Korean soldiers earlier in that month.
The Korean Peninsula remains in a technical state of war since the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty. About 28,500 U.S. troops are stationed in South Korea as deterrence against potential aggression from North Korea.

President Obama Side-step Congress,Takes Executive Action On Gun Sales

President Barack Obama said on Monday his new executive actions to tighten gun rules were "well within" his legal authority and consistent with the U.S. right to bear arms, a warning to opponents who are likely to challenge them in court.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Obama said his administration would unveil the new measures on Tuesday.Obama is igniting a political firestorm by bypassing Congress with the measures, which are likely to redefine what it means to be a gun dealer and spark increased use of background checks. Republicans say Obama is misusing his powers.
"The good news is … these are not only recommendations that are well within my legal authority and the executive branch, but they're also ones that the overwhelming majority of the American people, including gun owners, support," Obama said during a meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch and other advisers.
Shares in gun makers Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. and Sturm Ruger & Co. Inc. rose against a falling stock market on Monday in anticipation of increased gun sales, as has happened before when the White House mulled weapon sales reform.
Stymied by Congress' inaction on gun control, the president asked his advisers in recent months to examine new ways he could use his executive authority to tighten gun rules unilaterally without needing congressional approval after multiple mass shootings generated outrage nationwide.One option was a regulatory change to require more dealers to get a license to sell guns, a move that would trigger more background checks on buyers.
The White House had drafted a proposal on that issue previously but was concerned it could be challenged in court and would be hard to enforce.
Guns are a potent issue in U.S. politics. The right to bear arms is protected by the U.S. Constitution, and the National Rifle Association (NRA), the top U.S. gun rights group, is feared and respected in Washington for its ability to mobilize gun owners. Congress has not approved major gun-control legislation since the 1990s.
Obama said he was confident his new measures were constitutionally sound and would save lives.
"This is not going to solve every violent crime in this country," Obama said. Still, he added, "It will potentially save lives and spare families the pain of these extraordinary losses."
Under current law, only federally licensed gun dealers must conduct background checks on buyers, but many who sell guns at flea markets, on websites or in other informal settings don't register as dealers. Gun control advocates say that loophole is exploited to skirt the background check requirement.
Now, the Justice Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will issue updated guidance that says the government should deem anyone "in the business" of selling guns to be a dealer, regardless of where he or she sells the guns. To that end, the government will consider other factors, including how many guns a person sells and how frequently, and whether those guns are sold for a profit.
Obama's executive actions on gun control will fall short of what some gun control advocates have called for, but are nevertheless sure to spark a confrontation with Republicans and gun rights groups that oppose new impediments to buying guns.
Obama's announcement was hailed by gun control advocates and Democratic lawmakers, who praised the president for refusing to cow to the National Rifle Association and similar groups. Dan Gross of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence said Obama was making history with "bold and meaningful action" that would make all Americans safer.
Congress, which is controlled by Republicans, rejected Obama's proposals for legislation to tighten gun rules in 2013.
"While we don’t yet know the details of the plan, the president is at minimum subverting the legislative branch, and potentially overturning its will," Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan said in a statement.
"This is a dangerous level of executive overreach, and the country will not stand for it."
Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-NY, however, welcomed news of the president's executive actions.
"The repeated obstruction in Congress of commonsense measures that seem reasonable to almost all Americans has led to the President’s strong and necessary action on gun safety," Schumer said. "The vast majority of Americans will welcome Presidential action to break the unnatural vice grip that the NRA has over safety in America."
U.S. states have taken their own approaches to addressing gun violence. Texas legalized openly carrying handguns, while New York and Connecticut have banned high-capacity magazines.
In 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the rights of individual Americans to keep and bear arms. But the court also recognized that laws imposing conditions on commercial guns sale could be consistent with the Second Amendment.

Man Caught By Lagos Police For Raping 5-year Old Boy

Ganiu Amusa who is 22-year-old  was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday for allegedly raping a five-year-old boy, in the Alakuko area of Lagos state.It was gathered that Thompson, who lived with his family on Oremeji Street, had complained about pains in his anus when his mother, Adenike Ejigbo, gave him a bath.The boy was said to have tod his mum that Amusa had lured him to a place where he (Amusa) allegedly penetrated his anus. The mother was said to have raised the alarm and reported the matter at the Alakuko Police Division. But the case had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, on Monday for further investigation.
A police source said that the suspect had confessed to the crime.
He said:
“The boy had been complaining about pains in his anus to his mother. He had been having pains since the day the suspect penetrated his anus. That was how the mother reported the matter at the police station.
“The suspect did not deny the incident. He is blaming the devil. But the matter has been transferred to the SDCI, Yaba.”
The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Aliyu Giwa, confirmed the arrest.

Car That Runs On Water Was Manufactured By An Indian Mechanic

44-year-old Mohammed Raees Makani who has been a car mechanic for fifteen years from India has no formal education and cannot read or write but this has not stopped him from accomplishing a scientific feat of epic proportions. He claims to have designed a car that runs on water.
He has been modifying an 800 cc engine for the last five years - and now believes he has made the scientific breakthrough.
The car uses a mix of water and carbide which at just under two pence a litre is far more cost effective than traditional fossil fuels. Markani, from the state of Madhya Pradesh, said:
"The car runs on acetylene gas , which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water. The gas is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines. I have made other changes to the engines, which helps the overall performance of the car. So basically, it is just about the water. This idea struck my mind while I was gas welding a part of my car in my workshop many years ago. But I did not know how to go about it," Markani said. "Somehow, I made a start and it took five years to make this efficient engine." Not only does he now possess a patent for his groundbreaking invention, he has been invited by Chinese automobile companies to further develop the idea, but for companies looking to cash in on his work, he has a catch; any plant to make new cars will be established only in his hometown in Madhya Pradesh. Markani said: "I want things to change in my hometown. So this is where my work should continue."

White House Delays Imposing New Sanctions On Iran

The White House has delayed imposing new financial sanctions on Iran over its ballistic-missile program, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the Journal, citing U.S. officials, said the Obama administration was preparing to sanction nearly a dozen companies and individuals in Iran, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates for their role in developing Iran's ballistic-missile program.The U.S. sanctions were expected to be formally announced this week, the newspaper said. Sources familiar with the situation said that the United States was preparing sanctions.
The Obama administration is committed to combating Iran's missile program and the sanctions being developed by the U.S. Treasury Department remain on the table, the Journal reported on Thursday, citing U.S. officials.
But U.S. officials offered no definitive timeline for when the sanctions would be imposed, the newspaper said. At one point, they were scheduled to be announced on Wednesday morning in Washington, according to a notification the White House sent to Congress, the Journal reported.
Imposing such penalties would be legal under the landmark nuclear agreement forged between global powers and Iran in July, the officials said, according to the Journal.
Iranian officials have said the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would view such penalties as violating the nuclear accord.
U.S. officials have said the Treasury Department retains a right under the nuclear deal to blacklist Iranian entities suspected of involvement in missile development.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered his defense minister on Thursday to expand Iran's missile program, in defiance of the U.S. threat to impose sanctions over a missile test Iran carried out in October.

Woman Escapes Being Killed By An Islamic Cleric For Rituals In Lagos

On Tuesday, residents of Big Daddy Street in the Atinplome, Bagadry area of Lagos State stormed an uncompleted building in the area, which they suspected to be a ritual killer’s den, after a lady ran out of the building crying for help.
It was learnt that while a carnival was going on in the area, a woman in her late 20s, whose name is unknown, ran into the party with her throat partly slashed and blood streaming down the length of her body at about 2am.The lady, who later became unconscious told the crowd that an Alfa, identified as Mallam Sheu, had tricked her into the uncompleted structure before slitting her throat with a knife. She was rushed to the hospital and the matter reported to the Police.
It was learnt that in the morning, more residents went into the scene of the crime and they said they found bloodstains, old clothes, charms and ladies’ clothes inside the structure.
A resident who identified herself as Mummy Eso, said youths in the area attempted to burn the uncompleted building in the afternoon, because they thought that the lady had died of her injuries.
Mummy Eso a resident there said:
“There was commotion in our area in the midnight when boys holding a street party saw the girl bleeding from the throat. The girl, who just managed to speak, pointed to the structure and said an alfa had attempted to kill her, but she managed to escape.
“One of her hands had also been tampered with. So, the youths became furious and headed for the uncompleted building. Some policemen, who were also on guard duties at the carnival were informed about the incident and they went too. But information had got to the man, and he escaped before they could arrest him.
“Since morning, people have been coming to the area to check the building. They attempted to burn it in the afternoon.”
Another resident, identified as Akeem Ajao, who visited the building, said the youths found old bloodstains, clothes and charms.
He said:
“The lady ran into the carnival with blood streaming out of her body. One of those at the carnival saw her and came to her rescue. She said a man was in the house trying to slaughter her.
“We rushed the girl to a hospital, where she is now receiving treatment. We did not know that the alfa used the house to do evil works. The girl’s clothes were bloodstained. The police have also come to the area this morning.
“When I entered the house, I saw bloodstains, charms and a human bone was also in the man’s car – a Gulf 4 vehicle. It was the boys holding the carnival who noticed the girl.
“The girl’s neck was cut. Nobody knows the family of the girl involved. The man has run away from the area.”
It was gathered that the alfa had been having an affair with the lady, before he took her to the uncompleted building on the evening of the carnival.
The matter was said to have been reported at the Morogbo Police Division, and some policemen came to the scene, but the alfa had already fled the scene of the crime.

Nigerians Killed Fellow Nigerian Student In Cyprus

The story is a bit weird and a little confusing, According to reports from other Nigerian students in Cyprus, Ebinabo Mendeinyo was allegedly stabbed to death by other Nigerians in Cyprus on Dec. 26th at his student apartment. The initial story was that he jumped from the 6th floor of his apartment building out of fear when the boys came to confront him, but the Cyprus police have ruled that out after they found stab wounds on his body.
Jerry Udumioh, aka MC Jerry, a popular comedian and event host (pictured in handcuffs) was the first person the police arrested in connection with the murder according to source.
Ebinabo is believed to have been stabbed multiple times by about six boys. They allegedly first drove to his friend's house, kidnapped him and forced him to take them to Ebi's house. They made him knock so that the victim would open the door without suspecting. When Ebi opened they door, he was allegedly stabbed and his throat slit.The reason for the murder hasn't been made clear but a source said the fight started the previous day at a Christmas party and it was over a Zimbabwean girl and some folks feeling disrespected. Someone got stabbed at the club that night, and the fight was taken to Ebi's house the following day.
Jerry has been charged with 'trespassing', kidnapping and serious assault.

Soldier Arrested By Police For Supplying Arms & Ammunition To Robbers

A Lance Corporal of the Nigeria Army was among eight persons arrested by the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, SIRT for allegedly supplying arms and ammunition to robbers in Lagos.
Among those the gang allegedly supplied arms were those robbers who raided commercial banks in Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac and Agbara areas of Lagos and Ogun state, where they carted away large sums of money, recently.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects were picked up at various locations in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Borno states, reseptively, by the SIRT operatives, led by CSP Abba Kyari, and officials of the Defense Intelligence.
Six automatic pump action rifles, a pistol and some cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
Sources close to the SIRT disclosed that the army corporal who was picked up at his duty post in Maiduguri, Borno State, by men of the Defense Intelligence, is currently undergoing interrogations at the Defense Headquarters, Abuja.
News gathered that a member of the gang, who was arrested recently by the SIRT operatives, confessed during, interrogations that his gang received large supplies of arms and ammunition, from the soldier, who was posted to Borno State, to fight the Boko Haram sect .A source further disclosed, that the soldier, would conceal weapons within food items heading to Lagos from Borno and the robbers who were also involved in pipeline vandalism Pipeline at Ikorodu and Ijegemo areas of Lagos, would credit his bank account upon receiving the weapons.

China Passes Law Against Domestic Violence For The First Time

In a landmark decision, China’s Parliament on Monday adopted the country’s first law against domestic violence, bringing traditionally silent abuse victims, including couples who are in live-in relationship, under legal protection.The new law, passed by the Chinese national legislature, prohibits any form of domestic violence including psychological abuse.
“The country prohibits any form of domestic violence,” reads the new law, which formally defines domestic violence and streamlines the process for obtaining restraining orders – measures long advocated by anti-domestic abuse groups, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.The legislation was approved at the end of a week-long bimonthly session of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.
According to the new bill, victims and those in immediate danger can file for a personal protection order that the court must grant or deny within 72 hours. In urgent cases, decisions must be made within 24 hours. Once the order is granted, courts may prohibit the abuser from harassing, stalking or contacting the applicant and his or her close relatives, order the abuser to move out of the home, or adopt various other measures to protect the applicant.If the abuser violate the protection order, they may be fined up to 1,000 yuan, detained for up to 15 days or face criminal charges in serious offences.
Domestic violence is defined as physical, psychological and other harm inflicted by family members with beatings, restraint or forcible limits on physical liberty, recurring invectives and verbal threats listed as examples. It enables individuals and organisations to prevent domestic violence, and allows legal guardians and close relatives of abuse victims, in addition to the victims themselves, to report abuse.
Police will have to step in immediately when such a report is filed.
The new law also covers cohabitation, meaning those who are not related but live together are also included.According to Communist Party-run All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), nearly 25 per cent of Chinese women have suffered domestic violence in their marriage.More than 40,000 complaints of domestic violence are lodged with the ACWF each year.
Victims resorting to the ACWF for help are mainly women, children and the elderly, and 88.3 per cent of cases received in 2014 involved abuse by husbands of their wives.China previously did not have a special law covering violence in the family.References to the matter were only made in other laws and regulations such as the Marriage Law, the Law on the Protection of Minors and the Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women.

The moment a teenage jihadist suicide bomber was filmed breaking down in tears before being sent to his death in war-torn Syria was filmed on camera.
In a now viral footage, the frightened fighter, named as an Jafar al-Tayyar, from Uzbekistan, is seen being comforted by his fellow militants moments before he launches his deadly attack on Shi’ite town of Fua in Idlib Province.
After he climbs into the explosives-packed armoured personnel carrier, the young man starts sobbing.
An fellow militant says:

“Jafar, my brother, don’t be afraid. When you are scared, remember Allah,”

I’m just scared I won’t succeed,” al-Tayyar tells his fellow militants.

Despite his apparent fear of dying, 21 year old Jafar al-Tayyar is told to drive an armoured vehicle packed with explosives .
Moments later Tayyar drives off into the distance and blows the vehicle up, sending a huge mushroom cloud into the air as his fellow jihadis in the Uzbek-led Imam.
It is not known how many people were killed and injured in the blast.

Drugs Found Concealed In The Stomach Of Pregnant 32yrs Woman

The 32-year-old South African woman named Mosiea Moosa who initially lied that she was 7 months pregnant, was actually carrying packages of the drugs in her stomach and her urogenital tract. She was arrested on August 30 when she landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, India from Dubai on an Emirates flight,The Times of India reports.
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths became suspicious after looking at her passport and travel pattern over the last one week. On subjecting her to medical examination, they discovered that she had swallowed the banned drugs which were packed in small polymer packets.She was rushed to Osmania Hospital by the NCB sleuths to get the packets of drugs out of her body. The NCB sleuths intercepted Mosiea at the RGI Airport after she arrived from Dubai by Emirates flight EK-526 on Sunday morning.
"When we intercepted her, Mosiea said she was walking with difficulty as she was seven-month pregnant. When we shifted her to a corporate hospital at he airport for preliminary examination, she admitted that she was carrying narcotics in her stomach," a NCB officer said.
By giving laxatives, the hospital staff managed to extract 16 pouches of narcotics substance. The NCB officials confirmed that no surgery was performed on the woman and she was under medical supervision.
"We have not yet conducted checks on the narcotics recovered from the culprit. However, by looking at her travel pattern and the narcotics market, we suspect that the substance could be cocaine from Brazil," a NCB official said.
According to the NCB, Mosiea landed in Dubai from Johannesburg on August 23. The next day, she took a flight to Sao Paulo City (Guarulhos International Airport) in Brazil. On August 28, she returned to Dubai from Sao Paulo. On Sunday, she reached Hyderabad from Dubai.
"As a major portion of cocaine consumed the world over is manufactured in Brazil, we believe that she was carrying the contraband. Her return journey to Johannesburg has been booked from Hyderabad via Dubai on September 10," the NCB source said.
The NCB sleuths believe that Mosiea brought the banned substance from Sao Paulo, and after a break in Dubai for two days, she landed up in Hyderabad.
"She is returning to Johannesburg only after a gap of 10 days. So, the receiver could be somewhere close to Hyderabad, but the final receiver of the product could be anywhere," the NCB official supervising the operation said.

Nigerian Girl Who Became Sex Slave Tells Her Story

Blessing, 24, is another girl who spent two years in Russian city Voronezh cooking, babysitting and serving clients for money. Nigerian girl who went to Russia to study Economics at a local university but also had to become a prostitute.
“‘Who told you that there is a good job for you in Russia? Prostitution is the only job you can do here,’ it was the first thing I was told by my future female pimp when I arrived in Russia,” Blessing said.
Nigerian girl, Blessing, is a victim of human trafficking in Russia.
According to Blessing, she studied Fashion Design in Nigeria, however, she didn’t have money to continue her studies. When one of her friends suggested to go to Russia and earn some money, Blessing agreed.
“My Nigerian friend disappeared when we arrived in Russia. Later, I found out that she died. My pimp said I had to work as a prostitute to return $45,000 that they allegedly spent on my air tickets and other stuff.
“When I said “No”, they started to beat me up. Two years have passed but I still have visible scars.
“If I only knew earlier that there were people who can help me, I would have returned in Nigeria long ago. I didn’t know there was a way out. My parents and brothers know what happened to me. When girls refuse to serve clients, the pimp beats them up till they obey the orders. If they still refuse to obey, the pimp kicks them out without passports and money to live. As girls are far away from their homes and families without any support, they usually give up all attempts to run away.
“I was told that if I refused to work as other girls, they would have killed me. But I replied that only God can kill me,” Blessing concluded.
According to a Russian photographer, Tatiana Egorova, who met Blessing and other rescued girls several days before their departure to Nigeria, Blessing is already at home with her family. Though the photographer doesn’t know how the 24-year-old girl is coping with her life now.

In Nigeria, the main reasons of human trafficking – mostly selling women and children for commercial sexual exploitation – are poverty, social inequality and unemployment. Almost all international trade in Nigeria is concentrated in Benin City, the capital of Edo state. Lots of Nigerian families send their daughters in Europe to escape poverty.

19-yr Old Charged To Court For Raping 9-yr Old Family Friend Since She Was 3

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with raping a nine-year-old family friend at a state fair.
Jonathan Fleming was arrested at the Maryland State Fairgrounds after the victim's father became concerned when he saw the pair together.An investigation by the Crimes Against Children Unit alleges that Fleming has been sexually abusing the girl since she was about 3 years old.The girl reportedly told police that Fleming has forced her several times a year to engage in sex acts at different fairs in Maryland and elsewhere.
She claims he touched her inappropriately at the Cow Palace before moving to a more secluded area, including a trailer owned by the Fleming family.Fleming allegedly forced her to perform various sex acts, including intercourse.
The girl's father notified police after being warned by a farmer who became concerned when he saw Fleming and the girl at the Swine Barn, police said.
Fleming has been charged with 2nd degree rape, 2nd degree sexual offense, perverted practice, fourth degree sexual assault and second degree assault.He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
The investigation into the allegations of prior abuse remains ongoing.Police have said additional charges are possible.
