Nigerian Girl Who Became Sex Slave Tells Her Story

Blessing, 24, is another girl who spent two years in Russian city Voronezh cooking, babysitting and serving clients for money. Nigerian girl who went to Russia to study Economics at a local university but also had to become a prostitute.
“‘Who told you that there is a good job for you in Russia? Prostitution is the only job you can do here,’ it was the first thing I was told by my future female pimp when I arrived in Russia,” Blessing said.
Nigerian girl, Blessing, is a victim of human trafficking in Russia.
According to Blessing, she studied Fashion Design in Nigeria, however, she didn’t have money to continue her studies. When one of her friends suggested to go to Russia and earn some money, Blessing agreed.
“My Nigerian friend disappeared when we arrived in Russia. Later, I found out that she died. My pimp said I had to work as a prostitute to return $45,000 that they allegedly spent on my air tickets and other stuff.
“When I said “No”, they started to beat me up. Two years have passed but I still have visible scars.
“If I only knew earlier that there were people who can help me, I would have returned in Nigeria long ago. I didn’t know there was a way out. My parents and brothers know what happened to me. When girls refuse to serve clients, the pimp beats them up till they obey the orders. If they still refuse to obey, the pimp kicks them out without passports and money to live. As girls are far away from their homes and families without any support, they usually give up all attempts to run away.
“I was told that if I refused to work as other girls, they would have killed me. But I replied that only God can kill me,” Blessing concluded.
According to a Russian photographer, Tatiana Egorova, who met Blessing and other rescued girls several days before their departure to Nigeria, Blessing is already at home with her family. Though the photographer doesn’t know how the 24-year-old girl is coping with her life now.

In Nigeria, the main reasons of human trafficking – mostly selling women and children for commercial sexual exploitation – are poverty, social inequality and unemployment. Almost all international trade in Nigeria is concentrated in Benin City, the capital of Edo state. Lots of Nigerian families send their daughters in Europe to escape poverty.

He was arrested on Monday, August 31, alongside the bursar, K.E. Anjili and other top officials of the University.
On August 6, report surfaced that a former corps marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Haladu Hananiya, paid N150,000 for a new Toyota Land Cruiser SUV worth N13 million .
The arrest was confirmed by the commission’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with raping a nine-year-old family friend at a state fair.
Jonathan Fleming was arrested at the Maryland State Fairgrounds after the victim's father became concerned when he saw the pair together.An investigation by the Crimes Against Children Unit alleges that Fleming has been sexually abusing the girl since she was about 3 years old.The girl reportedly told police that Fleming has forced her several times a year to engage in sex acts at different fairs in Maryland and elsewhere.
She claims he touched her inappropriately at the Cow Palace before moving to a more secluded area, including a trailer owned by the Fleming family.Fleming allegedly forced her to perform various sex acts, including intercourse.
The girl's father notified police after being warned by a farmer who became concerned when he saw Fleming and the girl at the Swine Barn, police said.
Fleming has been charged with 2nd degree rape, 2nd degree sexual offense, perverted practice, fourth degree sexual assault and second degree assault.He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
The investigation into the allegations of prior abuse remains ongoing.Police have said additional charges are possible.

Portsmouth crown court heard she had quit drinking and the pair wanted to forget the “nightmare”.
Judge Roger Hetherington said: “For some reason, which is something of a mystery, you flew at him in a rage hitting him with whatever came to hand.”

Two Indian Sisters Sentenced To Rape Because Their Brother Ran Off With Someone Else's Wife

2 sisters have been sentenced to be raped as punishment after their brother ran off with a married woman. An unelected all-male village council in India also ordered that 23-year-old Meenakshi Kumari and her 15-year-old sister are paraded naked with blackened faces.The horrific order was revealed by Amnesty International which said the sisters and their family have fled their village in the Baghpat district, just outside of Delhi.
According to news, the sisters' brother Ravi fell in love with a girl from the Jat caste, a higher social caste than Ravi and his family, who are Dalit, once known as the 'untouchables', who are at the bottom of India's caste system.The Jat woman's family married her off to someone else in February but she later escaped and eloped with Ravi in March.As punishment, on July 31 a village council decided Ravi's sisters should be raped to avenge his actions.
Since the family fled their village their home has been ransacked.
Sumit Kumar, another brother of Meenakshi, told Amnesty that members of the Jat caste were powerful members of the village council, saying: "The Jat decision is final."
His family fears for their lives if they return. Meenakshi has filed a petition with India's Supreme Court asking for protection.Meanwhile her father has also lodged a complaint with two national bodies saying he has been harassed by the family of the Jat woman and by police.They are also worried about the safety of the Jat woman, who is believed to be pregnant with Ravi's child.
Amnesty International has launched a petition calling on India's authorities intervene immediately and protect the two sisters.
In an appeal, Amnesty said: "Unelected village councils such as this are widespread in parts of India.
"More often than not they are made up of older men from dominant castes, who prescribe rules for social behaviour and interaction in villages.
"Nothing could justify this abhorrent punishment. It's not fair. It's not right. And it's against the law."

A man who went to the doctors complaining of earache was horrified to discover he had a family of cockroaches living in his ear.Not only was there a big mummy cockroach taking up residence in his ear canal, but she had spawned 25 little baby roaches.The 19-year-old patient, known only as Mr Li, had gone to hospital after his ear became itchy and painful. Doctors took a look inside his ear and were shocked to discover it was crawling with tiny insects. They believe the female cockroach went inside Mr Li's ear several weeks before laying her eggs.
Doctors said that had Mr Li not come to hospital in time, his ear would have been "destroyed".
Yang Jing, a doctor from Chang'an Xiaobian Hospital in Dongguan, told TVS: "We saw an insect-shaped object blocking his ear canal completely." Cockroaches, who are often pitched as the only creature that would survive a nuclear explosion, are hardy insects that can survive for months with no food.
