Ex-international and former super eagles captain
Austin jay-jay okocha has praised the super
eagles of Nigeria saying they had a good
tournament despite the loss to france.
Okocha is a crafty attacking midfielder with lot of
tricks and was a member of gold medal winning
Nigerian football team in 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
The Nigerian football legend while addressing a
press after the world cup second round game
between Nigeria and France at the on going world
cup said the team had a good outing and said he
was pleased with the performance of team in
Brasil.
“The boys did their best, it was very obvious they
had the game under control for a larger duration
but failed to create enough chances and couldnt
even utilize ones they had.
“I am very sure they have learnt one or two
lessons from the game. He said”
“He continued by saying Nigerians have to
appreciate the transformation this team has
undergone under Coach Stephen Keshi. He has
really done a tremendous work with the team.
They have done very well and we must appreciate
that fact.
